DOCSIS 3.1 modems are some of the newest modems available. They are backward compatible with DOCSIS 3.0 with 32×8 channel bonding. A DOCSIS 3.1 modem is only really necessary for customers with service speeds of 500 Mbps or higher, particularly Gigabit services.
The models with McAfee Secure Home Internet come with Anti-Virus Protection for all of your home network devices.
Some ARRIS modems, like the ARRIS SB8200, are compatible with the ARRIS SURFboard Manager App. Don’t focus on this as a big selling factor. The App is one of the worst I have seen. It’s better to control your home network via the regular control panel.
Wireless AC Wave 2 is, in non-technical jargon, is basically just a faster form of Wireless AC. It will work with any wireless AC device.
